About Me
I graduated from Jefferson City High School in May of 2020. During my time at JCHS, I discovered American Sign Language and fell in love with the language. My school did not offer ASL as a course, so I opted to take German and French classes while attempting to teach myself ASL on the side. My true passion was always ASL, so I knew the William Woods University Interpreting Program would be a great fit.
After graduation, I plan on taking the TEP and BEI to hopefully gain certification and begin interpreting in the Mid-Missouri area.
My goal as an interpreter is to make communication easier between d/Deaf and Hearing individuals while taking into consideration cultural and language differences. I aim to continue involvement within the d/Deaf community and grow as an interpreter with every assignment I take on.
